Sweet & Spicy Immune Boosting Tea

Brrrrrr!!! It’s chilly out there!

I’ve recently moved back home to Montreal. I am no longer used to these frisky temperatures. While in Europe for the last 18 years, the minimum temperature we had was between -4ºC and 0ºC. And that’s nothing compared to what we will experience this year (I’ve heard this winter will be a tough one, so we can expect temperatures as low as -30/-40ºC).

So, I definitely want to boost my immune system and get ready for it!

This morning, it was cold in my home office, so I decided to take a trip to my kitchen and get something to warm myself up. I don’t drink coffee, and I wanted a little something special today. So I prepared a delicious Immune Booster Tea with all natural ingredients: orange, cinnamon, mint, raw honey, turmeric.

Here are some of the benefits of this Immune Booster Tea, because after all, you do want to protect your immune system in order to prevent diseases from harming your body:

  • ORANGE: Benefits your immune system by boosting your intake of vitamin C. It helps you make white blood cells and boosts white blood cell function.
  • CINNAMON: Rich in antioxidants, it also provides us with good amounts of manganese, calcium, fiber and iron. It is able to boost the immune system by fighting harmful pathogens like viruses, fungi and bacteria which attack our bodies.
  • TURMERIC: One of the foods with the highest antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. Curcumin, the active ingredient in turmeric, is anti-viral, anti-fungal and can help protect against serious illnesses. Inflammation is the cause of many chronic diseases that cause health to deteriorate, so turmeric is your anti-inflammatory superhero!

I have to tell you that not only is it good for you, but it is also extremely delicious, with a sweet & spicy taste to it. Definitely a winner that I’ve made many times and love sharing with my family and friends!


Ingredients (2 big cups, you might want to share with someone special) :

  • Filtered Water
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 tsp raw honey (or any sweetener of your taste)
  • Mint leaves
  • ¼ tsp turmeric powder

Add a drop of ‎Orange+ for an extra burst of flavor and zest, and make it part of your wellness regimen.
