Beat the winter blues with oils and… a mojito

You love winter? Good for you! But most of us, we hate it. November comes and we already think of spring and when will I be able to buy myself a condo in Miami and skip snow, cold and freezing rain.. As you can imagine, this makes winters VERY long.

Yes we can all go down in Punta Cana, enjoy the beach, sun and mojitos for 1 week but the -20 degrees will be back as soon as we say “I have an oil for that!”

So… how can we make the winter shorter? Nothing but.. applying a dose of sunshine every day on our skin is an easy way to get this warm feeling.  This easy recipe will make you feel like you are in a field of oranges and absorbing all the vitamin C possible.

In a 10ml roller bottle (you can grab these off Amazon), add the following essential oils:

15 drops Orange

10 drops Bergamot

5 drops Peppermint

Fill the rest with a carrier oil such as fractionated coconut or grapeseed.

Apply to wrists and back of the neck as needed throughout the day.

  • 10 fresh mint leaves
  • 3 drops of Lime+ essential oil
  • 2 tablespoons organic sugar, or to taste
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 1/2 fluid ounces white rum
  • 1/2 cup club soda

Place mint leaves and Lime+ essential oil. Use a muddler to crush the mint and Lime+ to release the mint oils and Lime+. Add sugar, and muddle again. Do not strain the mixture. Fill the glass almost to the top with ice. Pour the rum over the ice, and fill the glass with carbonated water. Stir, taste, and add more sugar if desired. Garnish with lime wedge.
