3 must-try tips for naturally gorgeous hair

Moms, after reading the back of shampoo bottles are you as horrified as I am? Granted, I needed Google to figure it all out but seriously.

Natural is always best, right? Sometimes it’s hard to find the right combination that will work with your hair type so it can be a work in progress. I’m going to share some of our must-try tips that we use at our house…

Tip 1: Lavender Mint Shampoo and Conditioner

For the shampoo, I use about the size of quarter for my medium length hair. Then the conditioner took some getting used to because it is super moisturizing (without being greasy) and it left my hair feeling heavy. Staying away from the scalp, use about the size of a dime, work it into your hair a few inches from the roots down.

Tip 2: Infuse your shampoo and conditioner with essential oils

Add 15 drops (or a combination) of any of these oils – Lavender, Cedarwood, Rosemary, and Sage are a few of our favorites. You can also add Tea Tree to help during the school year for your little ones.

These oils support healthy hair and scalp.

Tip 3: Long locks? Use a natural detangler!

Our conditioner works really well on our children, but after a day of getting sunscreen in their hair, playing in the sand, and having the wind whip through – it gets knotted. A lot. Try out this recipe – it’s the one that stopped my daughter from crying during her hair brushings no matter how slowly I went.
